My name is Ali. I am married to Mark,the most supportive husband ever and we have two beautiful daughters Hannah and Charlotte.
At the end of 2010 I went through a period of high stress. It followed a long period of dealing with a full on job, Mark catching a rare autoimmune virus called Guillaine-Barre syndrome not once but twice which left him hospitalised and temporarily paralysed, and of course the stress of juggling kids with full time work. Add that to a lifetime of being a chronic overworrier and overthinker,and I was a recipe for disaster waiting to happen.
With the amazing support of my husband and incredible friends, I got through it, and I NEVER want to go back there again. So……………I decided to change my lifestyle.
I began researching and studying nutrition and experimented with different ways of eating.
I transitioned to a vegetarian, then primarily vegan diet and incorporated whole foods into my daily diet. I learned to listen to my body to discover the food that suited my particular needs, and I disovered that nourishing my mind and soul were equally as important in my recovery.
Today I am healthy, happy and anxiety free. I am now studying at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to be a Certified Health Coach, where I hope to help other women find their way through similar situations.
Whilst I have a primary focus on food and nutrition, my aim is to show you ways to nourish your body, mind and soul! Check out my recipes, tips, recommendations and reviews that will help you on your journey to health.
